Anne Frank's Diary: Fourth (Last) Diary

120 pages, 128 sides.
Dates: 18 April 1944 to 1 August 1944. Her entries are in cursive more often than in the previous (third) diary. Her entries run 3- 3.5 pages each, on average. All entries in this diary were on consecutive pages.

This was another exercise book. Hard cover, speckled green and gold, with a black cloth binding. The pages are lined. The pages are the same size as the third diary (about 16.4cm X 20.7cm, or about 6.46" X 8.15"). This was an old chemistry exercise book of Margot's, which is probably why several pages were cut out of the front. The illustration uses a guess about the number of pages cut out and the total number of pages.

Diary of Anne Frank/from 17 April to/"Secret Annexe"/A'dam C./partly letters to "Kitty."/The owner's maxim:/Zest is what man needs!. (CE86 p. 612 has photo of this page)
(Several pages were cut out. Presumably they were pages that Margot had used.)
1 18 April 1944 (first entry)
4 secret code (CE86 p. 615 has photo of this page: note this even page is correctly on the left)

(45) Apparently no page is numbered 45, probably a skip in the page numbers (see next two). Since page 44 doesn't seem to have an unusual amount of content, and photos of pages after this page show odd page numbers on the left, not even numbers, I am guessing that Anne did not leave a page side blank. Therefore, I infer that the page numberer accidentally skipped the number 45.
75-6 26 May, 31 May, and 2 June (CE86 p. 154 has photo of these pages: note the left page now has the odd number, even has gone to right)
112 (8 and 15 July 1944. Through handwriting analysis, they think that she wrote intensely [about 11 pages a day -- rewriting diary entries for publication] between 15 July and 1 August.) During this time, she only wrote three fresh diary entries: 15 July, 21 July, and 1 August.
119-120 Online zoomable image of pages 119-120 are part of the USHMM online exhibit. They refer to this diary as the third.
121-122 Online zoomable image of pages 121-122 are part of the USHMM online exhibit. They refer to this diary as the third.
124 21 July and 1 August 1944: start of last entry. (Page 86 of Anne Frank: Beyond the Diary has a color photo of pages 123 and 124.)
127-8 Online zoomable image of pages 127-128 are part of the USHMM online exhibit. They refer to this diary as the third.
128 1 August 1944. (The last page of Anne's last entry.)
(Blank pages: the number illustrated is entirely my guess -- based on the inferred size of the other exercise book. I also don't know the number of pages cut out of the front.)
