What have you been doing? I give lectures aiming to end the myth concerning the destiny of the Jewish people in the Netherlands. Many people think the Netherlands was a paradise and that the Jewish people had support from the Dutch government. My readings go over the occupation period, the Jewish lyceum, my deportation to Westerbork, my three-year stay in a sanatorium in Belsen, living daily with tuberculosis there, and the lasting impact of the camps.

The realization that I was the only survivor in my immediate family was an enormous shock. Coming out of the concentration camp, I had not finished high school and had no profession. I completed a secretarial course in the United Kingdom and got a job at a merchant bank in London.
